樂活澎湖灣/東吉嶼燈塔Dongji Lighthouse

東吉嶼燈塔位於澎湖縣望安鄉東吉嶼北角的崖頂上。東吉嶼面積1.7712平方公里，地處望安島東南方12.2浬左右，與西吉嶼相距2.7浬。其地名由來，是因為附近海域滿是急流暗湍，「急」與「吉」讀音相同，故將急流的東方島嶼稱為「東吉」，急流的西方島嶼則稱作「西吉」。東吉嶼是澎湖群島中與台灣本島距離最近的有人島嶼，曾經繁華一時，但隨著漁業資源逐漸枯竭，島上人口寥寥無幾，只有殘存的紅瓦洋樓，依舊佇立島上，看盡繁華滄桑。
重建後的東吉嶼燈塔，由原來白色的圓柱形鐵塔，改建為圓形鋼筋混凝土構造物，漆成黑白相間的平行條紋，塔高24.4公尺，裝置三等旋轉式透鏡煤油白熱燈，每12秒閃光一次，光力為20萬支燭光，光程21.5浬。東吉嶼燈塔是日本人統治台灣後，在澎湖群島興建的第二座燈塔。
Dongji Lighthouse is on the southeastern side of Wangan Island. In the past, it was a relay station for the marine transportation from Penghu to Taiwan, and was famous for being next to the roaring waves of the Taiwan Strait. Therefore, a lighthouse painted in black and white was built, which weaves a beautiful landscape with the blue sky above it and the green grass around it.
